TELEPATHY

Curated by Emilio Hinojosa Carrión &  Iván Naranjo

The five pieces that are part of the Telepathy program have in common the desire to dialogue with the space of the El Eco Experimental Museum. They are not only music on a stage, but sound performances trying to inhabit –and transform– the museum space.

The first of them, by Aura Arreola in collaboration with Iván Naranjo, is composed by variations on Bird and Person Dyning, by American composer Alvin Lucier. The performer walks around the empty room, modifying the space based on recordings of bird songs that, in turn, come into play with electronic feedback. The body movement is therefore the trigger for sound events.
